Can anyone update me on the arrival/delivery dates of the SH-2G(I) and also the situation with the SH-2G aircraft. Looking at updating ADF Serials.

How has the 2015 budget set aside sufficient funds for the replacement of the Endeavour?

Apart from the fact all 10 I models are now delivered and have been here for some time, sorry I don't know the exact dates they were each delivered. There's one NZ still operational, deployed on CANT in Fiji. Facebook will no doubt reveal its tail number. Checking Facebook, I can see NZ3602, plus what appears to be NZ3603 in another photo.

I had to share the airspace at WP yesterday with 'Seasprite 16'.

NZ3601 and 3602 were noted at Whenuapai yesterday along with a number of the SH-2G(I) models.
The Minister's press release in December 2014 (see page 1 of this thread) also provides an indication of the staggered departure of the SH-2G(NZ) airframes to Peru.
Cheers

A couple nice photos on the Navy Facebook page of the SH-2G(I)working up with HMNZS Otago. It appears that both the ship and aircraft are off to the Kermadecs for a resupply op. I may be mistaken, but from memory, this must be actually the first time that an OPV has embarked a Seasprite (of any type) for an offshore deployment?

Check out this fantastic RNZAF or NZDF Official photo just posted to the RNZAF Facebook page. Their caption is: "If you see bright lights coming from our Seasprite helicopters this afternoon don’t panic. We’re just doing some training involving the firing of flares. It’s important that we do this training to keep our skills current because we never know when we will be called upon to use those skills for real."

No (NZ) models in service - last flights were 16 April 2016.
Last two (01 and 02) sighted in storage end of June - are they still there? When they move, the two attrition frames will take their place in the storage shed.

Old photo. Probably no photos of flare firings from the I yet. Confirmed on Facebook - no opportunity to photograph (I) models in this role.

A little off topic... does 6 Squadron crew use Det. patches when they are deployed on one of the RNZN ships?

Typically for most deployments the guys get a specific deployment patch made up for the ships flight.
