RNZAF hosted airshows - thing of the past?

I was trying to remember if it been announced, rather than rumoured, but here it is on Facebook:

We are moving away from our traditional Wellington Anniversary weekend and into February. There are a number of reasons for this. Some exciting new opportunites, some involving weather and flying conditions.

The dates for 2017 are: 17th, 18th and 19th February.
