They should heve. Reg nearly always did serialised limited editions, the first number being the Serial and the second the Total issued e.g. 12/45

He also made some very nice bas relief mounted resin castings of 1/72 scale RNZAF aircraft, specifically T/A-4,Vampire,Strikemaster,Hercules,Orion and i think Friendship, likely other too.

I did work for Reg Mason in the early 70's doing advertising photos for his Limited Edition art works. His studio was opposite Aerospace Industries at Rukuhia Airport. He was a real character, loved spending time with him, listening to his adventures and life experiences. I have 6 of his limited edition Brass / Copper Aircraft engravings. The de Havilland 82A Tiger Moth,The Fokker Southern Cross,The Douglas DC-3/C47 Dakota,The RNZAF Harvard,The RAF Hawker Hurricane & The RAF Vickers Spitfire. His artwork is highly valued. I have just listed all 6 of my engraving on trademe as sadly I have no room to display them anymore.

Earlier this week Mum was tidying up some of my late Dad's 'junk' as she calls it, and she came across an envelope with eight signed prints by aviation artist Reg Mason. Mason used to work out of a studio at Rukuhia in the late 1970's, early 1980's according to what I can gather from old copies of NZ Wings. He was also the official artist for NZ Wings for some years in the 1970's. I have no idea how Dad got these, if he bought them through Wings, directly from Mason, at an airshow or maybe he was given them. Who knows? I am also unsure if they are originals, or photocopies. They look like very good photocopies for the time, but the signatures look real. As they are black pen drawings, perhaps this is how Mason produced them? Anyway I thought I'd scan and share them for all to enjoy.I think they're rather neat, and they have now passed into my possession. Cheers Dad!
