You may find there is a big difference between Time-Ex and scrap value. I have very little to do with radials but I would think the core value of a typical recip engine would be in the $4,500 to $10,000 range. Obviously the accessories and components fitted will have an effect as would also the type and size engine. A 'scrap' value engine would be pretty rotten and obviously have to be beyond economical repair. An engine that has recently been immersed in salt water would be a good compromise and these come up from time to time in the insurance tenders. It would be longtime since I have seen a radial available though. Some of the radials fitted to helicopters may be worth considering, there may be some about and there would be stringent rebuild requirements. It is probably not something you are going to find for just a few hundred dollars but then again this may be the right place to spread the word. What size radial did you have in mind ?

I am after time ex Cylinders, pushrod tubes rocker cover covers for a PW R-985 wasp junior radial. No internals or accessories needed. It just needs to "look right" from the outside.
