Hi Ian, With the Beaver almost finished i was thinking i should go back a bit and do Frank Desboroughs Tiger as per the rear cover of Topdressers. Hope to do a few others as well !! Cheers.

That sounds a good one, is there a kit at the same scale? I seem to remember having a 72nd scale Tiger Moth Airfix (I think), many years ago. You have three Rural Tigers that would make a nice set, Tipitin, Tipiton, and Tipitout. isc

Airfix released a new Tiger in 1/72 not long ago that is leaps and bounds ahead of the old one in terms of accuracy and - from what I've read - ease of assembly.
Also, great models Kiwiduster!! Those are superb!

Hi Ian and Zac, There are so many early Ag Aircraft with character to be modeled, a case of choices choices choices !! Yes Ian 3 Rural Tigers would be great but at 28th scale i would soon run out of display room. Franks tigers were different in that he cut down the fuselage forward of the cockpit for better visibility and the schemes were very colorful, both good talking points !! mmmm on second thoughts maybe a Ceres, Cub, Airtruck, will keep you posted!! Cheers.
Dave Sir, Bit of thread drift here!! Your call. Cheers.

PL-11 Airtruck, or PL-12 Airtruk. Rural operated the PL-11 Airtruck ZK-CKE, pilot Don Erseg. In 1966, it was at Bellblock when I was there working in the engine shop. I don't think it ever got RURAL painted on it. isc

Yeah go on Craig, do a Callair model. It'd fly better than a real one!

Haha Good answer Tom. I saw one at Wanganui and thought what a bucket of s--t. I hope they flew better than they looked. Are there any drivers here who can tell us what they were like ??. Maybe oj knows more !!

Beautiful job! I have a Hobbycraft 1/72 Beaver waiting for BXN paint, but I doubt mine will look that good. Wow!

In July 1965 the first issue of "Flight Time" Rex Aviation (NZ) Ltd's magazine was produced, I have nine mags through to April 67, I wonder if it went on after that date. It has a bit of company BS/ information and a few interesting articles. isc

Is it some sort of simulator on the corner? Looks like a cockpit layout on maybe a hydraulic box to move it about?
