It is great to see that steady progress is being made on Bill Reid's Anson as reported in the very latest Classic Wings that arrived today. (Issue 56)
I'm pleased that progress is apparently rapid, and also it seems that a very thourough job is being undertaken.
I really hope I will get the opportunity to see this beautiful aircraft when it returns to the air. Classic Wings says it will pay more attention to it as it progresses, which is great news.

A friend of mine did a tour around the Nelson area over Easter, and visited the restoration. He was able to take some photos at the time: The whole exercise is a huge and well-funded effort. As well as VH-BAF, he also has another ex-RAAF Anson N1334

Ive heard the Anson described as just like an Auster - only bigger! The pictures demonstrate it very well. as mentioned, it appears from the photos as though the project is progressing very well, and certainly it looks well done. Good to see the photo looking into the nose compartment - I've often wondered what it was like in there!

Thanks very much indeed Peter, and pass on my thanks to Laurie please.
These are excellent photos and i agree with Bruce the progress looks great. I also agree about the nose interior, I had to stop and think what that shot was of for a bit.
