Looks like some interesting snaps here. I was curious to find out about "E.25", but turns out this was Electricians' course No. 25 at The Electrical & Wireless School, Wigram - and please understand I do not have anything against RNZAF electricians! Also in background was this school's instructional P-40E (NZ3096). Captioning of the Japanese aircraft leaves something to be desired - The Zero is an Oscar, the Betty looks like a Sally, and the Sally is actually a Lily. Don't think there are any Bettys at all here, although I stand to be corrected. Good to see some unique shots of TBFs and P-40s, etc. in NZ (presume at Ohakea). David D

However I have seen some of these images before, on many occasions, particularly the views of the surrender of General Kanda, as well as some of the Corsairs in flight, and also some of the views of crashed aircraft (burning aircraft always brought the shutter bugs out of woodwork). Definitely a lot of very interesting photos there. I don't think I've seen any of them though many are similar scenes to others I've seen. I hope the winner of the auction will be good enough to share them on the forum.

Love the TBF photos, would the "non-striped" TBF be in the blue with yellow tail colour scheme? Wonder which one she was. I see in the photo showing the Corsair banking away from the camera has different style roundels under each wing. Wing change or a touchup maybe. Yes hope they go to a worthy owner.
