Individual Weapon Replacement Programme

Janes now reporting ..."the LMT's AR-15-derived CQB16 has been selected to replace the Steyr AUG A1 assault rifle in NZDF service." 

Anyone else read confirmation elsewhere (besides on other forums) that the CQB16 is indeed the model to be contracted?

That was one of the criteria specified.

So does this one have the standard AR15 gas port configuration that contaminates the action or have they selected one that fixes this issue?
