On the 31st of June Nanchang ZK-JQS flew for the first time at Omaka and I was there with the camera. It was imported by Classic Aircraft Sales Ltd and a new owner will be announced soon

Nice one. I'm having a personal battle whether, after we bail out of the Airtourer, to get into a Nanchang syndicate or the Bulldog syndicate.

Having flown a few hours in Nanchangs and Airtourers I would definately invest in a Nanchang. The Nanchang is a complex aircraft to start with but once you get used to the systems you wont look back. If you do decide to go down the Nanchang path let me know as I can put you onto the right person to talk to. I also wrote an indepth feature on type ratings on nanchangs and it explains type ratings etc. Its in the latest Aviation News so its worth a bit of a read if you are interested.

Man, who was the lucky bugger that got to fly that machine in those conditions? Wicked!

They are a lovely gadget, and nearly as good as a Yak52.
