Anybody have any news on Peter Jackson's and Stuart Tantrum's original Bristol F.2B which is under restoration in Omaka?
Can't wait to see this one finished, although I'd imagine it'll be a long and expensive road!

This aircraft is currently flying in the UK and should soon be shipped here . Also to go to Omaka apparently is an airworthy Etrich Taube .

Yeah, sorry kiwi, different bird. I've seen some pics of the frame but that was a few years ago now, just wondering if any substantial progress has been made.

Hi Paul,
Actually, there could be something seriously down the track. Apparently King Kong was originally going to open with a huge WWI dogfight between SE5as and DVIIs, and replicas were being sourced, but it came to nowt. I know this because I am mates with a couple of people in the film industry and that was the rumour they had heard.
PJ's a big fan of WWI aviation, and I wouldn't be surprised if down the track he did something.
What I'd like to see? Maybe the story of McCudden or for that matter 56 Sqn. But so long as it's an RFC squadron and it's got SEs I'll be happy.
On a Kiwi bent, maybe Grid, he had a fairly action-packed War.
Tim.
