August and September. August was marred by the tragedies at Oulton Park and Shoreham, neither of which I was able to attend. My only show of the month, was the first weekend after Shoreham, at Rhyl. As it turned out, this was my last chance to see the Vulcan in the air. Thankfully the weather was perfect.
September brought the highlights of the year for me, Goodwood, possibly the best of the year and the show a few days later, at Duxford.

Purely for the record, the last shot I took of XH558 in the air. Thank you, VTTST, for the memories.

Finally, not quite over my garden, The Reds on the run in to Rhyl.

And so to September. Firstly Goodwood. Didn't really know what to expect with this day. Would many people turn up? Yes, as it turned out, thousands of us gathered for a really special day. It didn't start to well weather wise and there was some doubt as timings slipped, whether anything would fly at all. We needn't have worried and all went perfectly, apart from one aborted takeoff (successful at second attempt  ) Good to put a face to a name as well. Thanks to Nige (Wrexham Mackem) for the chat

I sat on the wing root of TD248 as a 13 yr old. So I have had a soft spot for this machine ever since.

So that's that for 2015. Just the small matter of heading down under to Australia first and then on to New Zealand.....
Happy New Year.
