Hahaha, given some of the painful examples we see of journalistic reporting on aviation matters, it looks like the author of that piece had a decent attempt to obtain and present the facts.
I hope something good happens to this fuse.

I am a million miles away but wasn't the article actually about the removal of the Ardmore Freighter ?
I was getting confused trying to read it but I came to the conclusion that is what she was on about.

It was/is owned by Richard Llewellyn Hudson but I have been unable to trace him. He may be deceased as he would probably be in his late 70s now. I'm sure owners of the surrounding properties would have more information

How about checking it out If it's the fuse your taking about then no that is miles out of my way. The person is much closer, if in fact that is him at Long Bay, but why not give him a ring as you have ties with MOTAT. Would come across better than me.

Hey let's rescue both, after all what could be better than a pair ?
But wait....taking inspiration from the spectacular Twin Mustang rebuild nearing completion (or maybe the latest replay of "Flight of the Phoenix") why not splice the two together ?
************************************ Designation: XB-340 Dual-Freighter. Project Name: "Bivrator" Concept design plans invited. No enhancement of ideal original performance specs necessary. Only serious proposals considered. No prize for the winner just the glory from having the most elegant design selected. **********************************
You'd need to set up "The Weka Worx" to undertake such a herculean task but think how few could resist paying a modest admission fee to admire the glamorous result.

You wouldn't want to try and pronounce that name after one drink too many...... Funniest thing I have heard since Donald Trump opened his mouth, unless he was buying mosquito and having it built down here....best of british, I mean USA
