Anyone else heading to Napier? I will be there at least on Saturday 9am or so ready for access. Can PM me to share cell numbers and discuss cameras etc haha! I hope a new 4K evf video cam turns up in time to take with me on Friday. 20 x Optical zoom, 5 ways IS hmmm, lotys of fun to come!

I'll try and get as many static shots as I can esp with the ground crew and prepping of the aircraft. I may use Sunday morning more for air shots take offs etc .Supposed to be finer weather on Sunday. Raining steadily in Sth Waikato now.  Sent from my SM-G900I using proboards |

Well Napier is washed out for the weekend rain right through and a lot of planes having to pull out. Big shame was looking forward to it.

Sitting here at entrance to Aero Club and gates closed. Cancelled both days so man is saying at the gates. Light rain falling. Aircraft never arrived. Weather against them Friday and this morning. Nothing down here at Napier at all. May have to become an aircraft spotter close by the airport! ! Parking is chocker too haha! Graeme

I've lived in Hastings, Gisborne and Masterton for most of my life, so I'm a bit of an expert on weather east of the main dividing range in the North Island.
When you get an easterly weather system, the rain tends to last for three days, then it gets fine again.
Unfortunately, the three-day cycle started on Thursday evening.
