Episode 104 of the Wings Over New Zealand Show is something a little different. I talk with Nick Veronico from the team currently based at Christchurch, New Zealand, with the NASA SOFIA Boeing 747SP flying infrared telescope. Nick is also a journalist and prolific author of books on topics such as aircraft bone yards, nose art, display teams, and preservation of aeroplanes and ships. www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/WONZShow/2016/06/nick-veronico-nasa-sofia/

Awesome Dave! Thank you for this one very interesting indeed. What a great job Nick has. Must get a few of his books now.

That interview went in an unexpected (but interesting!) direction. I've listened to some other more detailed interviews with SOFIA crew, so was expecting to mainly get a high-level refresher. But there was the great bit in the middle about Nick's own books, and I'm glad that Dave was happy to follow that line of questions when they were getting such interesting responses.
