Who's keen for a WONZ Wingman Brunch event here in Cambridge? I am thinking something nice and simple, perhaps a group of we aviation fans meeting at a local restaurant/bar and having a meal together (we each buy our own meal) and a good catch up, and we each put $20 in the kitty for the Missing Wingman Trust. Would any Waikato locals be keen on this? Cambridge, Hamilton, Te Awamutu, etc folk? I have The Five Stags in mind, a superb pub with top notch food at reasonable prices. www.fivestags.co.nz/Perhaps on the same evening there could be small groups of forumites gathering in restaurants across NZ in a network of WONZ Wingman Brunch events? Auckland, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, etc... That would be awesome, especially if we all took photos and posted them here. What do you all reckon? Are you keen to help our Air Force heroes and also have a fun evening with fellow forum members?

OK, so far six of us are keen for a Cambridge Wingman Brunch, at lunchtime on Saturday the 20th of August. I'll have a word with the Five Stags and make a tentative booking but hopefully we can double those numbers at least?

This is a great idea. I'm flat out at present so would rather someone else here in Christchurch can organise a get together (as Dave syas the old Officers mess at Wigram would be a great place for a feed and a beer/wine for a worthy cause. So the week 15th-21 August. Probably the weekend (20th-21st)would be easiest option. Christchurch forumites lets hear from you! (Don you back from UK then?)

Count me in Baz (x2). The Officers Mess (aka Harvard Bar) seems the most appropriate for this get-together, as we have done semi-regularly, and the 20th will be the same as Dave's crew up North.

Date now in my diary falls between a trip to Wellington and another to Tairua, so currently on track. Dave I will bring a box of stuff for you to peruse at your leisure.

We should Skype connect the North and South groups for a sign-off toast at the end of the meal.

That's a great idea Evan!! Someone will have a phone capable of that I guess.
So it looks like we have a Cambridge event and a Christchurch event shaping up. Surely there are enough members to do one in Auckland too? Perhaps an Auckland WONZ Wingman Brunch at the Catalina Cafe on the old Hobsonville base where we had a great forum meet a few years back? C'mon Auckland, step up!

I made the booking at The Five Stags today, so it's all on for the Cambridge WONZ Wingman Brunch. Keep spreading the word. If you wish to bring friends or spouses that is fine too, so long as they anti up into the Wingman Trust pot too.
How's the Christchurch WONZ Wingman Brunch coming?

12.00pm Graeme,at the Five Stags
What is happening in Christchurch? Despite the initial interest, has anyone actually taken up the organising of this event down there? The Missing Wingman Trust members read this forum, I'd hate to let them down.
