Hi folks. I'm investigating a few different homebuilt aircraft. I've done a bit of googling and found a couple of places in NZ to get materials. Do you guys recommend any place in particular?

Try Aircraft Salvage as well at Taren Point, Sydney. I purchased all my 2024T3 sheet from them for my Birdog. May be a bit costly to get over but if you know someone in Air NZ it could be rolled - like I did in the back of my car - and shipped in the hold.

The places in NZ most homebuilders use are Aviation and Performance Parts in Auckland or Avspares in Hamilton. In NZ however, everything is expensive, and may have long lead times. If you have any contacts in the shipping industry, you may find getting stuff in directly from the US may be cheaper, but the freight will be the big expense.

Steve Noad at Aircraft Logistics at Rangiora Airfield has/can get it. He's a good guy to deal with www.aircraftlogistics.co.nz/HTH, cheers Anthony
