Hello , accidentally looking for photos and information about 258 sq, I found this forum. Thanks to you, I learned the history of this sq. I come from Poland and one of the Poles in this sq. Was my grandfather's brother, PO Stefan Paderewski. He flew in 258 until March 1941. I am looking for his photos and Hurricane photos from 250 sq. Regards

Regards Might I suggest you contact the RAF Museum, which will have, among other things images of the squadron's aircraft. Or if you're so inclined, contact the National Archive at Kew, Richomd, UK, which will have the squadron Operations Record Book. RAF Museum web page requesting photographs: www.rafmuseum.org.uk/research/default/photographs/TNA search page: discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/These things might help you find what you are looking for. Good luck.

I believe that the ORB for 258 Squadron does not exist for their period in the Far East, but their formation and early life in UK does. This info from the original book on Hurricanes over the Jungle (by Terence Kelly).

It's fortunate then, Dave that he is looking for information "until March 1941" according to his post above, which is well before the missing Far East ORB.
