I agree too that the work done on the Heron is superb. I expected it to be a little gash close up, but it's not, it's really superb, as the photos show. It boads well for the future of their Catalina hull, which I'm told will hopefully be restored as a black cat, and have a complete tail and blisters too. As Bruce pointed out it has a nose turret so already looks prettier than the flying one! I hate those civilianised noses/bows on Catalinas.
Also a guide told me they are about to begin building a new hangar on the grass opposite the exisiting hangar, so expansion is very rapid for a new museum.
