I was thinking of NZ fleet renewal when I posted. It was a heads up that these machines will be up for tender in the coming weeks.
I used to go down to Wigram and look after the aircraft moored outside whenever a strong Southerly was about to come through. I spent a lot of time driving stakes and tying the nosewheel hard to the deck. My reasoning was the aircraft can rock and weathercock and the likes but it won't flip if the nose stays put. I never tied the tail if the nose was secured.
The majority of these Cessna's have lost their tails due to the tail being tied down. The rest of the aircraft may not be too badly damaged.
You can imagine how a tail section would behave once it has broken free though. Like a kite I would think...
