Hi Guys You may already have seen this
His story is similar to my ex father in law who was an instructor here in NZ before doing a Combat tour in late 44 early 45.

That's a good coverage. I was there along with a score of other WONZ Forum members. What a great weekend. Bryan was lively and entertaining all weekend - his speech at the Air Force Museum, interaction with all and sundry, and his undoubted 'touch' with the aeroplane. Full cycle. 75 years of experience and passion for flying was evident at anytime. I am privileged and inspired by his perspective, enthusiasm, and airmanship.
Thank you Russell and Dave for making it happen. The memories will long remain

Yep huge thanks to Dave/The Brodies and the Air Force Museum for hosting this event. An honour to be a small part of it, and to get to meet Bryan once more. The weather played ball, job done. Looks like Dave and Geoff got some great photos, I got none so please post! As I type this, it is teeming down here in Rolleston!

Watched my cousin on TV1 news tonight. What a wonderful experience for him. Only had to look at his face to see that he was enjoying himself. The Cox family are doing well. My sister Barbara Nathan is 94 and Bob Peak and Bryan both 93. Good things come from Cambridge.

I just arrived home from what can only be described as an incredible six days down south. Thanks to all who helped to organise the two events, and thanks to all who came along and supported them. The Forum Meet was superb, with excellent speakers all round, and great to catch up with a load of the members of the forum down there, and a load more who were new to WONZ and will hopefully join up here.
The Rangitata Island event was also simply superb. I had something in my eye when Bryan and Andy took off, following months of planning, stress and wondering how it would all come together.
The reaction to both event has been amazing, so many messages of thanks about the Forum Meet, and so much feedback about Bryan's flight. The story was the full page of the Timaru Herald today, an amazing spread. We also heard that the Ashburton newspaper covered it, as well as TVNZ,and Tauranga folks need to watch for an article too as Bryan was interviewed today by the local paper there. And of course the TVNZ coverage and Stuff film were awesome.
I want to say a huge thanks to Brett Marshall and the awesome team at Wigram, and to the wonderful Brodie Family at Rangitata Island for their hospitality over past days. And a HUGE thanks to Bryan Cox for being the best entertainment we've all had in ages with his amazing aviation stories and his cheeky humour.

It is two years today since that wonderful Tiger Moth flight. What a great weekend that was with the Forum Meet at Wigram, and then the Rangitata Island flight. Magic memories.

Dave thanks for posting the video of Bryan Cox and his Tiger Moth flight, the reuniting of a 90+ year old pilot and his WW2 ab initio trainer is emotionally powerful. The fact that he can still fly the aircraft is a testimony to his skill and courage, literally unfaded by time. The event reminds me of when the RNZAF Museum was good enough to host my father in 2002, a 4 SQN pilot, to be reunited with the refurbished NZ 2013 approximately 58 years since he last flew the plane. Wigram ad initio training
