Why would Wingnut commit to such a large and expensive project when HK already had one on the way? Because they committed to it three-five years before HKM. Eight years in deveopment.

Similar thinking i guess to Revell releasing 1/48 Beaufighter, when there is a perfectly fine 1/48 Tamiya version,thats been around for 20years.You'd think that market would be fairly well locked up.
Also, same aircraft,the new Airfix Beau' against the older,well considered Hasegawa Beau'.
Maybe they want to deliver their style of it,mark their brand and its been well reported that the subjects are of personal interest to Mr.Jackson, so if he can, why not.
Hopefully we can benefit along the way...though i'd prefer he did 1/48...
