Hi all, Maybe someone can help with the flowers of Kiwi? I can not determine which colors were used for coloring. I want to make a decal for a new box of Proctor from Dora Wings. Thanks for the help. Regards, Eugen (Dora Wings)

I would think it is a brown kiwi on top of a blue and green globe with silver wings and ribbon. However I have never seen a coloured photo of this artwork so I may be wrong.

Hi Dora, Unable to help with colours on the Proctor's logo but can offer a little info on the image of the two chaps beside the aircraft. On the left is Phil Lightband, whose father Bert was a founding member of NPAC, while on the right is another NPAC member Peter Hobart. Phil purchased the Proctor in the UK in 1949 and with Hobart set out for NZ in it. However Lightband senior was opposed to the pair flying it across Tasman Sea and, meeting them in Sydney, purchased the aircraft off his son and had it shipped to New Zealand on the Wanganella.
The trip from the UK to Sydney in the aircraft is a story in itself and includes being grounded for six days near the Swiss/France boarder following a forced landing, spending a nights as guests of an Indian Maharajah and being thrown in a Burmese jail, accused of gun-running.
As reimbursement for his involvement with the delivery-or should that read adventure-Peter Hobart was given Piper J2 ZK-AGD which was owned by Lightband senior at that time.
Cheers, Madmax

Dora Wings has released their Proctor III with decals for ZK-ATW in the 1/72nd version. Not sure if they have or will do it in 48th. I have just bought myself one to do this example as it has an unusual scheme. Elsewhere here I have seen photos of it and still question ...was it really finished this way?
