I had some fun with this, was going to be a Jean Batten aircraft, until I realised she flew a similar (but different) Gull 6. Never mind, I built it as Guy Clapshaw's Proctor which in turn has been modified back to a Vega Gull Great little build in 1/72, quite a bit of photo etch DPP_2 by Harry Follas, on Flickr DPP_3 by Harry Follas, on Flickr DPP_1 by Harry Follas, on Flickr

That's exactly what I want to do with the 1/48 kit. Sure would be nice if they did a Gull Six!
Are those kit decals or did you make/have them made, Harry?

Do you think you'd be able to make the decals in 1/48? As with many of my projects, the decal question is what's stopping me from getting the kit!
I like the idea of doing a conversion! There's a bit of info out there on the Six, John Adams of Aeroclub fame who helped Dora with this kit may be able to help if you can reach him.
