G'day all,
I would like some information re. the above accident, please. If someone has a copy of the official report...
What I have so far is Fletcher FU-24 Mark 2, CTH, C/n 127, JB Leith (pilot) and IS Caldwell (loader driver) both killed, operator Farmer's Aerial Topdressing Ltd, location Burwood Station, Mavora, northeast of Te Anau. Aircraft written off.
What I would like to know is the time, the phase of the flight, (that is take off, spreading run or landing) and the nature of the flight, whether agricultural work or positioning. A summary of the Investigator's Conclusions would be good, too.
Thanks in advance.

ZK-CTH "23/11/1970 Missing on flight from Te Anau to Winton, Southland. Wreckage located the following day in steep tussock Country at Mavora Farm Settlement near Te Anau. Pilot and passenger both killed"
Sounds like a positioning flight.
