Great images johnm, they bring back many memories. I hung around Hood as a schoolboy in the late 1950s early 60s. Air Contracts operated a fleet of C180s in those times and Agricola ZK-BMN which was flown by Fred Myers, Colin and Clive Thorne flew the 180s. Colin James would always make sure I got a ride in one of the C180s which usually frightened me Sh&%*less but never-the-less I loved every minute of it. I well remember Bruce Reeves, Lou Daymond (who I think later went to work for AFAW in Martinborough) and Doug Donaldson whom I'd sometimes stay with. In those days Air Services operated a sole FU24 ZK-BIJ which was painted a drab overall grey with green trim. Have a colour shot in my collection back home. Cheers madmax

In latter years I once flew with Neil in Beaver ZK-CKH and took some great shots of him at the controls but unfortunately they were inadvertently discarded!
