Thanks, but the thanks actually goes to Ferrymead founding members, Alex, Dagy and the Mossie Resto crew and to everyone who supported this. Also to Damon who supplied the kit! I wonder if the winning bidder is a forumite?
Thank you all!
I should have changed the title to Auster fundraiser...LOL
I'm off to bed....

Well done and off to a well deserved project. Wonder where the model is off to as there was talk of some of us on here donating it to Ferrymead if they won it. But if not the money will help get an important bit of NZ and RAF history looking her best once more.
The Auster should be recognised for what it is: a gentleman's aerial touring carriage and a nice aeroplane.
The model was generously donated back to us by the successful bidder and is in the library awaiting the construction of a suitable display case.
For anyone who missed out on this but would like to help us out, encouraged by Ants' example I have moved all of FAS' TradeMe listings from my own account to a new account on which TM will discount success fees by 50%.
Nice one Alex! I'll keep an eye out and try and resist not bidding on anything LOL...good on Trade Me for the reduced success fee! And so good to see this model be donated back to the Mossie Restoration team. Best outcome all around.
Thanks to you all for your bidding and your support. Especially to the winner who wishes to remain anonymous.
