Baz Tod photographing Johnnie Fallon in the cockpit of the Mustang. Where's your photos Baz? I took them for Johnny really and I think he put a couple up. If he doesn't mind I could put a few more up. Interesting hearing Johnny describe the difference between the three cockpits. The Mustang in particular seemed quite roomy as did the P40 with the Spitfire being snug. We both agreed if we wanted to have one we'd take the P40!

The Macchi made the Spitfire seem roomy. But yes of those three fighters the P-40 would always be my pick too. I just love the history of the RNZAF's Kittyhawks and Warhawks.

In this final talk given at the 2019 Wings Over New Zealand Forum Meet at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, Wigram, Christchurch, the museum's resident Safety And Surface Technician Nathan "Barf" Bosher talks about applying paint to the collection's aeroplanes. Barf's fascinating talk goes into the whys and wherefores, the methodology, the chemical principles, and the decision making and planning involved in a historical Air Force paint scheme, whether it's for a static museum aircraft or a flying warbird.
