I note (by chance) we've got 2 x B789 AKL - WLG flights today.
One was this morning, the other early afternoon

mrcaviation.blogspot.com/2019/06/awesome-series.htmlAn awesome series of shots thanks to Lanzi in Wellington of visiting Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZN during the morning of 31 May 2019. The 275 seat airliner was pressed into domestic service to conduct two Auckland-Wellington-Auckland returns carrying passengers disrupted as a result of extreme wind and turbulence conditions that had battered the Capital during the previous afternoon. The visit by the 787 provided a unique opportunity to catch two widebody's on the ground at Wellington with the scheduled Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-200 arriving as the 787 was preparing to depart.

Great shots but I'm confused over why she appears to be taxiing for and departing on RWY16 while SQ is landing on 34?
Metservice shows a minimum of 20kts from the Northerly quarter all day

carrying passengers disrupted as a result of extreme wind and turbulence conditions that had battered the Capital during the previous afternoon. If that's the case it's surprising they are not seen there every week

Settle down Dave, Wellington is the riviera of the southern hemisphere. Balmy days and nights interspersed by the cleansing 100%pure antarctic zephyrs.
