Defence official: Pic HMAS Newcastle arrives in the Port of Newcastle for her last visit. The RAN has commemorated the completion of the final overseas deployment by an Adelaide Class guided missile frigate(FFG), with HMAS Newcastle arriving back in Australia on 12 June. Before returning to her home port at Garden Island in Sydney for the last time, HMAS Newcastle visited her namesake city and participated in a number events designed to reaffirm the special bond Navy enjoys with the people and the City of Newcastle.
