Have some books that I inherited from my brother a few years ago, have been sitting in this box and need someone to love them. If anyone wants to make me an offer on one, some or all - send me a message. Or if someone can suggest a home for them where lots of people can love them.
Some of them I found on Amazon to give more details, prices shown in no way reflect what I want for them - for info on books only.
I will be in Auckland next weekend (16-19 Aug) and will have them with me if anyone wants to see them or I can take more pictures of individual books if wanted.
if multiple people are interested in a particular book I reserve the right to go all capitalist and list it on trademe

Have sent you a PM, the book is the 1972 edition, looks in very good to excellent condition, minor bending on top and bottom of dust cover, looks like it could never have been read.

Why can I not see whatever the photo is that is on here? I just see a blank space with a circle and white bar. I saw that on another post recently too. What hosting platform did you use to post the picture please?

I still do not see the picture in the OP, and that link does not want to open and says "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /books.jpg on this server."

Can you get to the rest of that website? It is an old site made with old software, maybe Mr Windows is being overprotective?
try this off a newer and more popular site

Take it Dave , its one of the very best biographies , Harry does capture the moment. In fact the Chequers pub at Sutton next to Mepal carries a copy for visitors to browse through.

I'll be leaving in a couple of hours so those who have expressed interest in books, the books are all put aside for you, but would be best to contact by text for the next couple of days.

lspace, carrot and I used to play Warbirds together years and years ago. When he became ill we used to joke about how many TV channels he could pick up with all the staples in his head. Super funny guy and still missed. Even when his vision was gone and others were typing for him, his humour still came through.
There is a memorial to him inside the WW2 Online game. Might be in France. I can't remember.
We also did a memorial flight for him in Warbirds with about 100 of us.
Has he really been gone that long???

Hi noooby Yes it has been 16 years, 10 months and 11 days! Somebody (probably Torgen)did send or post a pic of the memorial, I have a copy of it on a hard drive somewhere. A couple of books we got are not in the picture, one is Gabby Gabreski (sp?) that is dedicated by Gabby to Carrot so we will be keeping that for for sentimental reasons, the other is "Warbirds, The Story so Far" 'cos I thought that should be offered to someone that had played alongside him first...... At Ardmore at present, hope to leave here by midday tomorrow at latest, any books not spoken for by then may be left here at the Warbirds Library.
