Since you have to be a person of good character(and have to ask for any records the police have on you forwarded to the CAA when first applying for one) to hold a Flight Crew licence does this mean he'll lose his?

In preparation for a hearing at the High Court in Wellington in July the company and other parties including Sir Peter Jackson and Dame Fran Walsh as trustees of the Film Property Trust, asked for DeMarco’s counterclaim to be struck out, and a court ruling that DeMarco has no defence to parts of their claim. The lawyer for the Jackson and Walsh parties, Bruce Scott, argued in court on Thursday that DeMarco was trying to reopen issues already decided at his criminal trial in 2019. ... How strange things turn out... I remember being privileged enough to sit in and have a chat with Gene De Marco about the aircraft he was displaying at an event once, real genuine guy, keen to answer questions from us eager participants. He spent most of the time chatting about flying the Camel in particular and you could tell he had a real passion for what he was doing.

Unfortunately that's how people 'like that' often manage to present themselves, and hence gain the trust of others. I'm sure he does have a genuine passion for the aircraft, but unfortunately it doesn't change the fact he's a crook.  |

An interesting development for sure. "But instead of getting talking about the case, he asked if the judge had taken an oath when he was appointed and whether he’d sworn allegiance to the Queen." - dear lord, I had enough of those types while working in District Court! It never works out well for them. Also amusing that Stuff puts the story under 'Entertainment' - the Jackson factor?! I was taught Names Are News, and I'm not at all surprised they've been put under Entertainment! |

As the game monopoly states "G o to jail, directly to jail, do not collect $200" This guy is an idiot. Also he would only collect $5, if he could prove it is his. The court has declared him Bankrupt. Again, go directly to jail.
