Chief of the defence Force - a question

On 2 occasions an RNZAF Officer who has not been the Chief of the Air Force has been promoted to the Chief of the Defence Force.  These are 
Air Marshal Bruce Ferguson
Air Marshal Kevin Short (current)

I am aware of one Deputy Chief of the Defence Force  who was not the Chief of the Air Force - AVM Robin Klitscher

Does anyone know if there has been any other RNZAF officer who was Deputy Chief of the Defence who was not the Chief of the Air Force?
