I have received another email from Mark:
"Hi Dave
I realise I made a slight error in the gun calibre of the Harvards' gun, I've attached a corrected version. (new version substituted above, Dave)
I had another look at the file, as I recall there was a bit more about the TAF involvement. Initially, all four squadrons were to participate. The Harvards would fly to Woodbourne and two Dakotas would transport the groundcrew there. The Harvards would have flown their missions out of Woodbourne. However, there was a concern that if the Lutterworth remained in port for more than 48 hours after the waste cargo had been loaded, there might be spontaneous combustion. As this would make it difficult to plan the arrival of the TAF squadrons, it was decided only the two Harvards from 2 Squadron would operate out of Ohakea.
