Likewise Don, just finished the last podcast yesterday. I must say the RNZ / Stuff podcasts are pretty damn good.

As for the book I might get this one...

That NZ Herald series is also excellent. It has photos and footage that is excellent.

Tragic but also fascinating story. I recall being enthralled by a book on this in the 90's with the navigation systems and the white out issue.
