14 September, Water Bombing NT style between Girraween Rd and Power Rd in the Paperbark swamp which leads into the back of easement. Power Rd is only 2 streets away and we were very lucky this day that the wind change around 2 half 2. It was only to get worse that weekend as other property at Dundee was threatened but’s another story.

This was taken by the wife as is came home after her work released all staff a effected by this fire just before the wind change. If the wind didn’t change we would’ve been up shit creek and all rds would’ve been close as the next stop line was going to the Stuart Highway the main rd in and out of Darwin along with the Arnhem Highway running east to West form the Humpty Doo turn off on the Stuart Highway.

It looks ruddy horrendous. I noted on a fire map last night that the fires are also up in Indonesia. I do not know how you Aussies cope with it all.
