I have been watching a lot of Youtube videos on the big screen at home. Indeed I rarely watch Freeview or cable TV. I ended up watching these two movies last night and was surprised that I couldn't recall seeing either before. I would normally watch anything Pythonesque or classic movie related. This 2002 version didn't get such good reviews, probably mainly from yanks though. I watched that one first, thinking if it was unbearable I could try the other. The 1978 version. If you don't like Python then you are probably beyond hope anyway. You could either bitch and moan about the shite movies or I guess have a go at drinking to death. Some people are miserable gits. enacademic.com/dic.nsf/enwiki/49699

I have heard about The Rutles but never seen it. I did see that Neil Innes died this week and was considering looking it out. Might have to have a watch.

Also I like Monty Python very much. problem is I am not really a fan of the Beatles... so not sure I'll 'get' it.

Essentially it's a spoof of the Beatles (sanctioned by some of them) done in a Pythonesque style mockumentary. Contains some good cameos

I didn't pick him but will look out for him next time. Some great clips of guys early in their acting careers. I discovered I needed to cheat and read about the cast and characters as I viewed. There is a Wanganui connection in there as well, the guy looking like John Cleese.

Yep, I saw His Reverence, Frank Williams. I am watching the first one now. His part was tiny.
