Thank you now that is a kind compliment, if my scale models are looking like the real thing! Changed the title to this thread as I have a few stills off go pro. The largest RC plane I have 1700 span FMS Super Cub, very STOL capable. The Multiplex Funcub has almost cult-ish following in the rc world, really nice flyer and again a great STOL rough field job. The other end of the Cub story an Eflite Cipped Wing Cub inverted over the local golf club, quite aerobatic, 1200 span. Artech Pelican STOL, has a few interesting features, the leading edge slats droop with the flaps and she has a parachute drop hatch. Came with tricycle gear, call me old school converted her to a tail dragger, 1100 span. Added spotty paint as well just for fun. Fly this one a lot as it is often windy where I live and she's slippery so can handle a bit of breeze, 1500 span Eflite Consendo, such a nice all rounder, slope soar, sport aerobatics and strong-ish winds.

Some really great photography there! Incidentally in your shots of your "spotty" plane, is that a parachute in second pic? Absolutely marvellous views of the local topography too. You seem to have a good camera on the job (and know how to get best from it). David D

Thank you David, they are just screen shots off Gopro footage with a bit of post production, only ever get good shots when the sun is bright and shinning on the subject also helps when the surrounds are nice as well.
Whoops, missed the parachute, yeah the spotty plane has a hatch operated off a servo for parachute and/or lollie drop!

Much modified J3, added flaps, modded tail wheel, tundra tyres, and paint, such fun to fly around 670mm span. 2 cell Mustang 493mm span Another Mustang back dated from a D to a Mk III, scratch built the razorback and canopy, painted as a 3 Sqn machine with the RAAF in Italy. One of my favourite ultra micro fliers, a modified 493mm P51D to a CAC15 “Kangaroo.” Plus I love her story, the real machine was all built in Australia under a design team led by Fred David who also designed the Boomerang. As much as she looks like a modified Mustang the fuselage was longer and she was powered by a Griffon 61, the only Mustang components used in the real machine, the main landing gear.

CA-15 is a fantastic machine but too late..... be nice if it had survived....a P-51 on steroids for sure. Think it also had a Tempest tailwheel leg.

There is a group trying to get a replica together in Victoria I believe. Couple of recent captures, Fiat. And the flavour of the month RNZAF P40N.

1,100 span Eflite clipped wing Cub, runs on 11.1 volts, quite grunty, can be flown sedatlely or fun on aerobatics! Added Tundra tyres as I only fly off grass.

Looks like an entire Air Force. Could have your own air show on the island. One of the only in the country!

Got some okay shots of my rc scale jobs today. Re-painted as the locally based 182. Avro Manchester over the lagoon. P47 Thunderbolt. Zero looks more realisltic a little out of focus and in black and white. Last pic pretty close the the full size Zero replica I snapped a few years back.

That r/c Manchester might be the only one of its type flying in Southern hemisphere, if not the world. Anybody on here ever heard of others flying? David D

This is a trick photo mounted my model remote control Spitfire on a rod with the prop spinning at a slow speed. Took the photo at a low shutter speed 1/60th using flash, in post production painted out the rod. She is done up in the markings of an early Spitfire flown by Australian Pat Hughes during the Battle of Britain, the real machine's remain have been recovered, she will be restored to fly eventually ending up in Scone, Australia with the Hunter Fighter Collection. On the starboard side of the same model I have used the markings on an early Spitfire flown by Colin Gray during the Battle of Britain. Have painted the image in black and white to try an replicate a wartime image. In less than two months the real machine achieved the following with Colin Gray as her pilot. 13.07.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Douvres Deal 24.07.40 Probable Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Nord Ouest Margate 24.07.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Nord Foreland 25.07.40 Damaged Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Est Douvres 12.08.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Douvres 12.08.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Cap Gris Nez 15.08.40 Probable Do 17 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Maidstone 16.08.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Est Hornchurch 16.08.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Est Hornchurch 16.08.40 Damaged Do 17 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Est Hornchurch 16.08.40 Damaged Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Manche 18.08.40 Destroyed (1/5) Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Manston 18.08.40 Damaged Do 17 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Kent 18.08.40 Destroyed Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Clacton 18.08.40 Damaged Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Clacton 18.08.40 Damaged Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Clacton 24.08.40 Destroyed Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Douvres 24.08.40 Damaged Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Douvres 24.08.40 Damaged Me 109E Spitfire I - R6709 “N” Sq 54 Douvres 25.08.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Faversham 26.08.40 Probable Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Manche 28.08.40 Damaged Do 17 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Manche 28.08.40 Damaged Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Manche 28.08.40 Damaged Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Manche 02.09.40 Destroyed Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Hornchurch 03.09.40 Probable (1/2) Me 110 Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 North Weald 03.09.40 Destroyed Me 109E Spitfire I - R6893 "T" Sq 54 Côtes Françaises
