H I just have to wait a while for it as there is no shipping to NZ from Japan! Yes see my post on price for 1/48 vehicle kit on DHL or FEDEX Japan to NZ at present. Yes, bad timing aye...… I might have to swim over and get it myself, and use it as a canoe to paddle back on

No but his cad drawing would solve half the problems! I would love to do one in 1/5 scale.... LOL, I don't think it would fit in his printer...

First kit has arrived in the UK (mines going to be some way off until shipping from Japan gets sorted), but pretty impressive, and the first owner is quite impressed at the overall quality and detail...great canvas to work off! Here it is next to a 1/32 B-17! Photo's courtesy of Iain Ogilvie LSP

These look much better than the S and M ones Yes mate, he put a serious amount of effort in getting these corrrect and getting extra info from the Wigram one to make sure it was accurate...they are a giant in 1/32 scale! I remember you wrestling that kit from S & M as I was going to get one but changed my mind after seeing your battle!

This thing is pretty huge! Ah I see what you've been up to......rather than replying to your old mate Baz's texts you've started yet another model. Is that from the Japanese model maker?

Yes mate, I have a few people to catch up with TBH.
I have been in 'Hermit Mode' this past week or so. But quite busy looking after family chores after Belynda's shoulder Operation... This is the most modelling I have done in weeks LOL!

I expected big and I'm not disappointed. I'm curious to see how you tackle the surface prep as I have a 1/48 project I've wanted since childhood that's shamefully stashed until I can get rid of the layering.

So, Ants, considering the wingspan is longer than the fuselage length, I hope you've got a spare bedroom to use as a display cabinet! (Edited, dimensions for HS748 used)

LOL.... Firstly Zac, dont let it scare you mate. I think cleanup will be pretty easy starting with about 400 grit to initially knock it back then work your way down, I reckon a block will help too. Spray with Mr Surfacer and correct any flaws etc.
Johnny, I am waiting for Cameron to leave home so I have somewhere to display my models!
Might as well enjoy them now as they will probably all end up in a skip after I die...LOL

I was speaking to a fellow modeller at work. Another Andover kit is making its way to NZ.

Is there interior detail Anthony? or does the modeller have to scratchbuild that?

Is there interior detail Anthony? or does the modeller have to scratchbuild that? No, all the interior is included. Baz and I photographed Wigrams one inside and out for him. So the interior matches her. There are different types of seats, full cockpit and rear cargo bay detail. Also standard or 'kneeling' undercarriage.
