As it looks we are not going to see many new airshow pic's in the near future so thought I'd start a thread of old airshow pic's you may have stashed away, no real theme, can be old shots or new, civil, jets or warbirds, static or in the air, as many as you like, if fact the more the merrier? Kick some off with some of my personal favourites from Flying Legends 2018.

Maybe I can pretend, make aircraft noises and do a mock commentary.....seems that's as close as I may get to it until very much later in the year if at all.......

Stunning shots. Love the Hudson and the angle of the Boomerang.

Ha yep will probably be a while, sure your aware you commentated at both the shows with the above images. Love to see some New Zealand airshow stuff, Omaka, Wanaka, Ardmore or Hood would be great. Old shows or new, Ratas to Mosquitos, WWI lets relive a little?

Hi all The following are photos I took in South Africa at various airshows. Dave, I hope its OK if I add photos from SA airshows? The quality of the photos are not that good as they were all taken on print fil and then scanned in. Mirage IIICZ "Black Widow" taken SAAF 75 at Waterkloof AB 1995. The Mirage III's had been withdrawn from service at this stage. Denel kept one CZ and one BZ flying. The SAAF sold several Impala MK II's to the airforce of Gabon. Airforce of Zimbabwe - BAe Hawk T60. Waterkloof, Pretoria 2000. The Atlas C4M Kudu was used extensively during South Africa's Border War 1966 -1989. After being withdrawn from service several were sold to private individuals Rooivalk 670 Swartkops (Pretoria 1999) The need for an anti-armor helicopter became clear during the later years of the Bush War. By the time the Rooivalk became operational the war was over and the need for this type of helicopter became superfluous. The Rooivalk has see combat in central Africa recently.

My most memorable memory of the 1963 airshow at Rotorua (at the old airport in Fenton road) was the Blackburn Beverley of FEAF. A huge machine that defied gravity and actually flew!
