I know that agricultural pilots have been able to carry on working through the Level 4 lockdown as their spreading of fertiliser and their spraying of crops is essential work, but I am curious what sort of extra precautions are being taken so that they do not contract or spread the virus?
I assume no direct personal contact is made with farmers and land owners now, it's one by phone or online. But that would mean farmers cannot ride along to point out which paddocks need the loads, etc.
Are the pilots and loader-drivers living together after hours so they're not returning to families an risking the spread?
Are pilots and loaders wearing any extra protection?
Or is it none of the above and business as usual?
I'm just curious.

The farmer doesn't have to even go to the airstrip these days, they just send a digital map and its loaded into the planes guidance system. Some sites saying the loader driver goes to the airstrip in a seperate vehicle. I guess the farmers wife has to send them virtual scones for morning tea.
