What aircraft in NZ was associated with this engine apart from the Provost? None to my knowledge as this motor appears to be from a twin pioneer. The provost has a mk125/126 alvis but this one is a mk138 and has a longer stroke and different gearbox so its got a bit more grunt than a provost. This model should make just shy of 700hp at full chat

Some versions of the Leonides were configured for use in helicopters. Possibly the Bristol Sycamore? Would have been fan cooled, etc. David D
