Anyone know of any NZ Aircrew that flew Whitley's with coastal command. I assume there were plenty but haven't stumbled across any in my books of googling.
I have Costal Command Whitley to do for a modelling project so thought about adding a NZ connection (has to be coastal command as I like the scheme :-) )
Thanks in advance

GR Coates survived WW2 only to lose his life in July 1948 when the RAF Avro York he was flying collided in the air with a Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) DC-6 near Northolt, England. All 39 on board the two aircraft were killed. It is the worst mid-air collision to have occurred over the UK. Link: www.baaa-acro.com/crash/crash-douglas-dc-6-northwood-32-killed
