My copy arrived - in Auckland - today. Snail mail.
WOW, that is ridiculous, two weeks to get from Christchurch to AKL. I know a few have arrived in both the UK and US as of yesterday!
Haven't heard that anyone in OZ has it yet though?
It’s a dog breakfast over here with AusPost atm especially you are living outside the east coast major centres Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne. It’s bit of a lottery when mail may arrive, I’ve lost one parcel that was posted in the US back when Covid19 kickoff and it’s frustrating as there is no model shops here in Darwin as ran out Matt Black paint as I build 1/700 model ships during the Nth’ern Oz Wet Season.
I received my copy in Canberra on 22 Jan. I particularly enjoyed this latest issue of Classic Wings, had articles on such a good range of subjects and of course the JS collection.
Mail from overseas to Australia and within Australia is unpredictable to say the least. I've had one UK magazine that I receive that is sent from a German distribution centre arrive within 2-3 weeks of notification of being sent, whilst another UK magazine I receive that is sent from a distribution centre in the UK take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks to get here. Had a tracked package from Melbourne to Canberra take 10 days - went from Melbourne straight past Canberra to a mail centre in Sydney where it sat for over a week, then it finally made it from Sydney to Canberra. With the current bans being put on direct flights in and out of various locations as the new Covid strains show up or particular countries become hot spots, it is throwing air freight and mail into even more chaos.
