My partner is working in the Mount Thursday/Friday, so I might pop along for 'Plane start up demos'!

All going well we should have the Kittyhawk, Avenger, Vampire, Aermacchi starting up and no doubt other aircraft in our fleet being active including at least one Harvard, Airtrainer, Stearman and possibly the Airtourer T3A. Here's hoping for fine weather. Entry is only a gold coin donation.

Today the Kittyhawk was run up and surprise surprise - work started on getting some Heron (ZK-BBM) engines working. The outer port engine ran for a while, for what I think is the first time in about three years. In fact, both resident exNAC aircraft showed signs of life today. DC-3 ZK-AWP was ferried to Paraparaumu for the weekend where there are 11 fully booked scenic flights planned before moving on to Whanganui where several more flights are planned for the following weekend.
