I have a couple of old David Brown tractors and was interested in this Facebook feed earlier this afternoon.
I had the feeling it was in the Marlborough area and was tied up to the aviation happenings there. The tractor is a Taskmaster and was said to have blue paint under the yellow. Also talk of it having been down the ice. I have lost the link but would be keen to hear more of the plans and hopefully the restoration.

Thanks Bruce. The post had only been up for an hour or so when I saw it. I saved a couple of tractor pics and didn't really read the thread. I thought it was linked to the John Smith Mosquito, at least on Facebook.
I lost the link somehow and couldn't go back to check my facts. Was it removed from Mapua or Marlborough ?
Is it to be restored as a working tractor for the collection or to be kept elsewhere ?
Thanks again for the reply.

She looks pretty puckarooed. I think the poms will be thinking that is an easy restoration, possibly 60% done. The engine will be an unknown, although if the exhaust was covered there may be a good chance it will be fine. It appears to be very much intact which will be a great help. Sometime in the near future perhaps...

I thought the one recovered the other day had a known history and sounded ex-RNZAF and possibly with Antarctic time. They may have been pretty standard sights about the Bases.

I had a feeling the cars and tractor were in Marlborough. There was a series of about 10 pics and there must have been 15 or 20 cars as well as this. I saw a light blue 1970's Viva but the majority of the vehicles looked to be early to mid-fifties style. Bradford van and Austin A35 looking things.
The Facebook page was linked to the Mosquito page and initially I thought it was the same team involved. I got the impression it was an aviation inspired effort rather than a farmyard deal.
I was hoping it was destined for Omaka but seemingly not, at least from the response here.
