Following on from my post to this thread on 6 March 2021, here is an updated list.
HARVARD SURVIVORS
The Harvard has a special place in the hearts of many aviation followers whether they be pilots, have worked on them or, simply can’t get enough of that unmistakable sound. I fall into that last category and will never forget the thrill of being a Harvard passenger. I hope that will not be the last occasion. In recognition of the type’s 80 years in New Zealand service I have made my own contribution from my own notes to share on this significant occasion. I would like to offer special thanks to Camtech who has kindly added his own comments. Although we believe this list is reasonably accurate, there may be amendments required stemming from mistakes or updates. If you are aware of any instances, or know of other surviving RNZAF Harvard aircraft (not sundry components), please post the details to this thread. We all like to learn of any new “aircraft in a barn”.

Harvard 2 NZ954, INST142 (to inst 31 Aug 1950), c/n 66-2767. Sold by GSB tender 6631/57. Sold to A Elliot, Stuart Rd, Onehunga.
Harvard 2 NZ982, c/n 76-3839. Used as instructional airframe at Woodbourne but no INST serial recorded apart from INST948. Transferred to Ohakea as INST143 with No. 2 TAF Squadron 31 August 1950. Converted to "hydraulic mock up" at Ohakea 21 May 1953. Disposal details not known. Fairly sure that Inst 948 was not this aircraft. It was almost certainly used (if at all) at Woodbourne without an allocated “Inst” number.
Harvard 2 NZ995/INST60, c/n 76-3852. Converted to INST60 with ATC Mobile Training Unit 09 February 1944. Later transferred to Wigram. No further details known. I believe this aircraft (front fuselage) was mounted on a truck and moved around various ATC units.
Harvard 2A* NZ1016, c/n 88-9273. To storage at Wigram July 1962. Declared surplus and disposed of through GSB tender 26 October 1962. No further details known.
