Hello, I'm putting the finishing touches to a new book about RNZAF Corsairs by Robert Montgomery, with extra material by David Duxbury. The book is 128 pages long and dense with information about service in the Pacific and Japan, the SUs, training at Ardmore and losses at home and overseas etc. Plenty of photos and colour profiles too. I’ve uploaded the current cover design but wonder if any forum members would like to have a go at a cover design and upload their efforts here? Might be fun and something a little less “standard” may add to the books appeal, so “have a go”!! Yours, Malcolm Laird Ventura Publications

Having just finished the book Whistling Death written by one of the first Vought Corsair test pilots this will compliment it nicely. Yes keen to order a copy!

I'd enjoy any cover , however one with a human element is very appealing.

Definitely in the market for a copy of this. Having a tidy up of bookshelves, so reserving space for this one!

I like the Ardmore photo with the human element, and the bottom one also with the human element as well.

If the 2nd photo scene could be blended with the 3rd scene that would be a real Pacific shot. Palm trees, Corsairs, and the blokes servicing and flying them. Probably quite rare to get a shot like that?

Dave, I still love that palm trees shot. It looks like today gazing out over a lagoon from some resort. Think its the trees combined with the sky. Can I order that as my one ? It looks 'real' and current if you know what I mean

That sky with the tropical weather brewing on the horizon beyond the palms it pretty neat I reckon.

Available on Trade me. Search for Pacific Corsair - not tagged RNZAF.

From experience as an author, the sales pitch is always better if there is the combo of aircraft and people so the first and last renditions of the cover would have more appeal, especially if there are personal stories etc

Ordered mine yesterday. Looking forward to this one. Reading all the information on the P40 in the RNZAF just on this forum alone it would be fantastic if a similar book to this one was done on the P40. Hint hint.

There are a group of us doing deep research on the RNZAF P-40's Baz, with the likely outcome that a book will eventuate. But there are so many gaps in the records it is really difficult, which is why I have been locating and copying Flying Logbooks to try to bridge those gaps.
