I'm building one of the William Brothers Boeing 247 kits. I picked it up cheap from a vendor in Mexico who was selling it minus box, decals or instructions. Its quite a good kit, however it took some 'forcing' and superglue in strategic places to get the fuselage together! Not sure if thats a product of its age or the fact that it may have been subjected to heat (warped parts) since the 1970s. I'm going to build it as Roscoe Turner's 'No.57' flown in the MacRobertson air race from London too Sydney in 1934. It will complete the collection as I already have Uvier (KLM DC-2) and Grosvenor House (The De Havilland Comet) in the same scale. Building the Boeing 247 ...I can definitely see the ancestory of the Boeing B-17 in its form IMG_4970 by Harry Follas, on Flickr

Cool. You do not often see Williams Bros. models built up.

They aren't bad kits for the detail, especially since it dates from the 1970s. However the parts fit is certainly not the finest
