Hello all, I have just joined this forum on recommendation of a friend. I am researching my 4th book, Lysander Attack. This is a history of 13 Squadron, RAF, during the Battle of France, 1940.
2x of its pilots are from a NZ descent and trying to locate family members, or any research material, including photos, that people would be willing to add to the extracts in the book.
Here is goes:
Pilot Officer Alan Christie Ollerenshaw Additional Information:
Son of Reginald Allen Ollerenshaw and Sarah Jane Ollerenshaw, of Auckland City, New Zealand, KIA 15 May 1940
Pilot Officer Michael Ernest Brian Macassey Additional Information:
Son of James Ernest and Henriette Maren Tuchen Macassey, of Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. Killed 28 Aug 1940
There maybe one more pilot of NZ origins but need to confirm this. Does anyone know of family members that can assist, I would be very grateful.
My email address if easier is: burt.danny@yahoo.co.uk
Cheers
Danny

Great, thank you, I will send some letters out. The other pilot I mentioned, who was of NZ origin is: F/O Neville Whitford-Walders, KIA Oct 1941, serving with 107 Sqn. He also served with 13 Sqn during the Battle of France.
Regards
Danny
