Hi all
A couple of/few years back, a hangar at Hastings contained quite an array of Cessna bits and pieces including 2 185 projects (one of which CAN is now flying) plus a lot of Agwagonery, much of which was from DHX which I understood would definitely fly again
I believe the collection has gone - anyone know where?
Cheers

Thomarse. Perhaps the hangar you refer is/was Bruce Coulters. I recall seeing an Agwagon fuselage with a roundel painted on the side in it some years ago.

Yes correct, it's "was" apparently.
I'd love to know more about that Agwagon fuse with the roundel - didn't it also have a dummy "NZ" number?

Yes I think you're correct about the dummy military serial. Bruce informed me he obtained the fuselage from the ATC but I'm unable to recall which unit, perhaps the local Hastings one. At one time they had Mead Primary Glider ZK-GHE

Thomarse, Have checked my files which reveal I photographed the Agwagon fuselage in Bruce Coulter's hangar on 3 Feb 2013 and only the figures '24' of the faux military serial is visible. Does anyone know if Bruce still operates out of that hangar?

My memory tells me it was NZ14** so NZ1424 maybe? Surprised no one else has chipped in.

Part of the serial had been applied to an inspection hatch which was missing when I photographed it however the bottom setion of a numeral/letter is just visible in front of the '24' and it appears to me that it may be the bottom of the letter Z in which case it would have been NZ24??

I've just received a very welcome email from Dave Paull including a couple of photos - NZ2430 is the faux serial. Dave reminded me too that there were a couple of US-registered fuselages as well as a lot of ZK DHX and I think some of DSA.
Did someone say (elsewhere) that this collection is now at Mercer?

Bruce now works at Mercer rebuilding Cessna's so maybe the parts are there.
